CREATIVE THINKING DEVELOPMENT

Background:
CRE.THI.DEV. is a Greek non-profit company aiming at community development through research and development of action plans, focused on the local and social economies, mainly on the fields of life-long learning, employment, sports, environmental protection, and local development. The company establishes close cooperation with local and regional authorities, government authorities and business associations in order to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development through research projects and the raising of awareness in local communities towards available development projects. In this framework the company organizes and promotes studies and research projects, participates in European projects, cooperates with universities, companies, government authorities, technological centers and organizations, vocational training centers and business associations, focusing on the exchange of knowledge, technology, and innovation.

Objective:
The organization endeavours, among other things, to:
⦁ Promote innovative educational methods for the prevention and elimination of any kind of discrimination, exclusion, and inequality.
⦁ Promote innovative activities that aim to combine the fields of education and vocational trainings, employability, and entrepreneurship,
⦁ Organize meetings, seminars, events and actions with the involvement of various stakeholders

Projects of the organization:
CRE.THI.DEV participates in projects in the areas of new skills development using blended learning approaches and promoting Communities of Inquiry for online training to address skills shortages and modernize business practices to promote digital transformation. Among the projects CRETHIDEV has or is currently implementing are:

⦁ WOMEN4IT – Innovative Solutions to increase the numbers of EU vulnerable girls and young women into the digital agenda

⦁ CLICHA, aiming to support environmental protection and mitigate the consequences of climate change through the development of new scientists with skills to cope with climate change through blended learning approaches

⦁ FAIRHAP, aiming at the development of Olympic values through sports

⦁ INVENT aiming at strengthening and enhancing the role of higher education institutes and universities in innovation capacity building, technology transfer and commercialization of applied scientific research

⦁ CreativeWear aiming at revitalizing the crisis-ridden Textile & Clothing (T&C) sector through a new attention to creativity, personalised design, and artisan and small-scale production in customer-driven business models.

Team members:
Dimosthenis Papakonstantinou
– Founder and Administrator

He has worked in ELKEDE, Technology & Design Centre as its Managing Director (1985-2004) and as Board Advisor (2004-2009). (ELKEDE was an RTO under the authority of the Ministry of Development, with European and International orientation. During this period, D. Papakontantinou has participated in many European research, technology, quality, training and environmental projects.
As an active member of local administration since 2003, and as Vice-Mayor of the Municipality of Pendeli since 2014, he has experience in organizing and executing projects for the benefit of the local communities.

Agni Vytaniotou
– Member and Project manager

She has worked in ELKEDE, Technology & Design Centre S.A. from 1989-2006, as responsible for the administration, coordination and execution of many European training projects for many sectors of industry (FORCE, COMETT, EUROTECHNET, EUROFORM, PETRA, NOW, INTERREG, INTEGRATED PROJECTS LEONARDO, ADAPT , EQUAL). In the framework of these projects she has collaborated with many professional and training bodies in Greece and Europe.
From 2006-2011 she was the Director of KEK ELKEDE, the Vocational Training Institution affiliated to ELKEDE, Technology & Design Centre. She was responsible for the collaboration with EOPPEP (National Organization for Accreditation of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance) and the accreditation of KEK.

Dr. Maria Giannacourou
– Project manager

Organizational Psychologist with extensive professional experience in business consulting collaborating with international bodies and has been Project Coordinator and Project Manager in various national and European research projects (Erasmus +,CIP-ICT-PSP, EEA grants).
In the organization, she is responsible for among other things, quality assurance of Erasmus+ projects, including blended learning approaches for the development of new skills such as digital skills as well as for mapping digital needs in European level and developing training profiles using the e-cf and digi-comp framework.

Sofia Papakonstantinou
– Project manager

In the past, she has worked as an external consultant in projects related to training and social studies for National Technical University of Athens, Hellenic Organization of Small-Medium Enterprises and Vocational Training Centre of Athens Prefecture.
In CRE.THI.DEV., she currently is dealing with projects for local development and employment, Erasmus+ strategic partnership and Erasmus Knowledge Alliance projects.
